About the Role:

As an Account Director, your role is to direct and grow our client relationships across a wide variety of local and global clients. With interest and experience in working with clients and internal teams to think beyond the brief.

Client services excellence is at the heart of successful delivery and experience in leading and growing effective client relationships is essential. Both through existing relationships and new business you will be motivated, proactive and be focused on exceeding client expectations. Sound experience, with brand, design, and brand strategy. An enthusiastic team player, an excellent communicator and listener, and experience in mentoring and developing junior team members.

The ultimate objective of the Client Service Team is to build strong long-lasting partnership relationships with clients so your support to deliver efficiently and effectively on all client management tasks will be crucial. You will work as part of a wider client team, reporting in to a client lead. You will be responsible for the administration, support, and management of project tasks, working both autonomously and as part of a broader team to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget, whilst ensuring that communication between the client and the agency is seamless and timely.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

• Own business development for each allocated client account, in pursuit of long-term commercial growth.
• Be a champion for our client service standards and a representative of the excellence standards being instilled throughout the team, especially in those you have line management responsibility for.
• You will oversee creative/strategic development work to ensure the presented work is of the highest possible standards.
• Demonstrate commercial rigour through in-depth knowledge and understanding of commercial imperatives including recoverability, billing, and forecasting at an operational level.
• Accountable for weekly and monthly forecast accuracy cost control and pre-determined revenue and profitability targets based on allocated clients.
• Effective line management; mentoring and development of direct client service team reports.

This role has sales targets and commercial performance accountability for assigned clients.

You have:

• A proven track record in agency senior management roles in branding and design with a relevant design, marketing, or equivalent business degree qualification. 

• Experience in leading retail/consumer goods, service, and corporate branding assignments from inception to completion. 

• Ability to demonstrate a strong understanding of branding and media, from brand communications, digital and social to packaging, product, and channel. 

• Ability to generate new business within existing client relationships, as well as from new client sources. 

• The capability of actively participating in pitches and workshops with clients including the development of brand strategy, conceptual brand platforms, and activation. 

• Skill at motivating teams to deliver beyond the brief to drive client satisfaction, and a source of inspiration for staff and clients alike.
